Deer Hunts
Whitetail deer are abundant in Western Kentucky. The
hunting areas here at Milford are privately owned working farms.
Each year they are cropped with soy beans and corn providing an
excellent food source. The hunting area is composed of
two different farms.
The
first and largest of these farms is composed of fields, wooded
areas, and river bottoms. The Ohio river borders the farm on
the North with Deer Creek on the South. Various ponds and one
large lake are located on the property giving animals adequate water
and shelter required to thrive. Bucks find all the nutrients
needed to grow large racks. Large sheds can be found ever
summer. Lets look at some stats from the 2003 deer season.
