Several local attractions include  Cave-In-Rock and The Shawnee National Forest in Illinois and  Kentucky Lake and Mantle Rock regions in Kentucky.  Milford Lodge is approximately 30 miles from Sturgis Kentucky home of the Little Sturgis Bike Rally. The Lodge is located on the very scenic Highway 135 which runs along the Ohio River.
