Turkey Hunts

Turkeys have made a strong comeback in Kentucky.  A successful re-stocking program by the Department of Fish and Game has brought the birds back in full strength.  The Milford Lodge farms has everything a turkey needs.  Food and water are plentiful and the wooded areas along high creek banks provide excellent roost which allow turkeys to fly down directly upon the feeding areas.   A large number of hens use the hunting area for nesting and many young birds have been seen this year.  The area gives just the right mix of heavy cover and open fields to allow the birds to feed and feel safe.
